Also, whenever a corporate recruiter is having difficulty filling a position through traditional means they go to LinkedIn. Executive, third-party recruiters often go to LinkedIn first! Most of them are saying now, if you don’t have a LinkedIn profile you don’t exist. As for the résumé, these go in conjunction because the résumé is a snapshot. A LinkedIn profile is an extension of that résumé. Also, when you go to an interview in person you will want to have a copy of your résumé. The interviewer may not have your résumé and/or your Linkedin Profile in front of them on a PC, laptop or tablet.
